As You Are bring their High Vibe Folktronica to Mitchell Creek Rock and Blues Festival 2022
Live music is back in full swing again with the re-emergence of some of our favourite festivals. We were invited to bring our tribal vibes to the Mitchell Creek Rock and Blues Festival, opening both the Saturday and Sunday mornings to a capacity crowd.
Sharing songs from our 4 albums, including our latest release, World Keeps Spinning, we took the audience on our global sonic journey. Home tribute tracks “Australia” and “Great Wide Land” set the tone for the day, followed by our stompers, “Tribal Music” and new tracks “Amazonian” and “World Keeps Spinning” which all received a warm and heartening response.
We were also immortalised in a wonderful painting by local legend and artist Brian Tisdall. Brian has painted backdrops for Rodger’s previous bands Jabaru and Tribal Trance, so it was delightful for As You Are to be added to that list.
Forever in gratitude we are to our supporters old and new, who made our hearts burst open when we found out we were the TOP merchandise sellers at the festival! Our brand-new USB package was the most popular purchase, featuring all 5 albums in our collection.
Collaborating with Leeroy Todd Photo and Film, we will also be bringing you our new showreel, featuring the best moments from the Mitchell Creek Festival experience, we can’t wait to share it with you soon!
